Projects
everyone loves a good project
Here are some of the projects I've worked on that are most dear to me:
Society for Psychology of WomenI have coordinated and facilitated webinars about social justice and gender for the The Society for the Psychology of Womxn (Division 35 of The American Psychological Association). The Society serves as a voice for intersectional feminism within organized psychology, promoting intersectional feminist scholarship and practice, and advocating for public policies that advance equality and social justice.

Vikki ReynoldsI worked as an editor for Vikki Reynolds across 2019 and 2020. I helped Vikki edit some of her recent academic articles and also helped her organize and co-edit her 2019 book, Justice-Doing at The Intersections of Power: Community Work, Therapy and Supervision. Vikki Reynolds is an activist/therapist who is a mentor and supervisor to me; she works to bridge the worlds of social justice activism with community work and therapy.

Michael StoneI worked closely with Michael as his researcher and editor on his forthcoming book, "The National Parks of the Mind." Blending insights from psychology and neuroscience with wisdom from Buddhist traditions, this book was designed as a 'cartography of the psyche'—a field guide to the various mental/emotional states that comprise the landscape of the human condition. Michael Stone passed away in 2017 and this book has not yet been published. I also assisted Michael in research about schizophrenia.

UBC / Dr. Edward SlingerlandAs part of a small creative team, I assisted in the production of a MOOC (massive open online course) titled "Chinese Thought: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Science." Taught by Professor Edward Slingerland (Professor of Asian Studies, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Psychology) of UBC. This free, interactive, virtual is offered annually on EdX. EdX is a non-profit initiative of Harvard and MIT that offers free, virtual courses from the world's top universities.
