Editing
Good writing is timeless
Although the digital revolution has literary nerds on red alert,
statistics reveal that people are reading more today than ever before in history. With the rise of Tweet-sized attention spans, and the epidemic of skimming, today's readers, agents, and publishers are picky about what they choose to read. They want to be lured in by a voice that compels attention. They want style that isn't contrived. They want conciseness that hasn't sacrificed lyricism. They want impact. Just as all things digital are built through the language of code, in today's world, every book, article, project, website, and business cannot be built without the mortar of good writing. And all good writing has gone through the crucible of editing—several rounds of it, in fact. That's where I come in: I am an experienced editor with a flare for the fine details and the big picture. |
